Go Shaw Wrestlers!

The Shaw Raider Wrestling team along with 22 other wrestling teams from over the state of Alabama and Georgia competed in the Smiths Station Invitational on Friday January 20 and Saturday January 21, 2012. While a lot of great wrestlers were there, it was a very competitive competition. The Shaw Raider Wrestlers did well with Justin Lenz winning the tournament for the 126 weight class defeating Bradley Martin of Smiths Station. Coach Matt Hall was quoted as saying, “It’s fun to coach when the talent is ready to do what we have trained to do”. The talent at Shaw did very well and we are proud that we have a Gold and two Bronze medalists.
