...good starting point for research.  Search by name.  Lists famous people born on current date.  Contains online version of current issue of Biography magazine which also has "Who am I?" and "Where are they now?" quizzes.

Gallery of Achievers: Steps to Success

 ...focuses on individuals who have shaped our times by their accomplishments.  A biography and profile of each featured achiever are also available. The Gallery of Achievers is linked in specific areas to the Steps of Success.

Lives, the Biography Source

...links to thousands of biographies, autobiographies, memoirs, diaries, letters, narratives, oral histories, etc. Group biographies about people who share a common profession, historical era or geography.  Also, it has general collections, resources on biographical criticism, and special collections.
