ATHLETICS
Baseball
Congratulations to, pitcher and center fielder, Cam
Greathouse who has being selected as THE All-Bi-City Baseball
Player of the Year!! Wow! Truly Shawsome! He finished with a school record of
.561 batting average; hit 12 home runs and drove in 52 runs. He was 9-2 with 104
strikeouts in 62 innings. Howie Shackelford
and Donte Williams joined Cam on the First
Team selections. Cain Fuller was selected to
the Second Team. Nothing more can be said than "FANtastic" guys!

Tennis
Congratulations also to Marcos Rivera as being
selected as the Ledger-Enquirer's Tennis All-Bi-City Co-Boys Player of
the Year! Marcos had a perfect 15-0 this spring. Marcos did not get to play
Brookstone's Kevin Jacobson, the other Co-Boys Player of the Year as the two
schools did not play. Congratulations also to Bobby
Means who was selected to the Boys' Second Team, Singles, and
Josh Nichols who received Honorable Mention.
Boys' Track
Congratulations to Juan Pickett (Shot
Put), a three-sport First Team All-Bi-City winner, was named to the
Ledger-Enquirer's Boys' All-Bi-City First Team in Track. He also finished
sixth at the state meet. Stephen Waynick
(800-meters), Roger Chaney (110 Hurdles),
Jonathan Jones (High Jump),
Kyle Griswould (Triple Jump), and
Juan Picket (Discus) were selected to the
Second Team. Joseph Williams and
Rearkus McCrory received Honorable Mention!
Girls' Track
Congratulations also go to Patricia Blair
(100-meter Hurdles) and Misha Aldridge
(Discus) for being selected to the Ledger-Enquirer's All-Bi-City Girls'
First Team in Track! Patricia finished second in the Region 2-AAA meet before
finishing seventh at the state meet. Misha is a first-team All-Bi-City selection
for the third straight season. She finished fourth at the state meet.
Patricia was also selected to the All-Bi-City Second Team in the
Triple Jump, and Misha in Shot Put.

GHSGT SUMMER REMEDIATION
Parents and students, summer remediation for the GHSGT for our students will
be held on July 8-10 from 9 AM to 12 Noon in the Media Center at Shaw.
