Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress

1,500 die every day. Congress unanimously passed legislation in October, 2000 to
create the Veterans History Project. Created in the American Folklife Center at
the Library of Congress, the project calls for Americans to collect the

projects mission is dictated by the legislation: "to collect the memories,
